Design News: Courts Muze Sofas, Garmin’s First MicroLED Watch and More

Courts Muze expands with four new sofas

Singapore retailer Courts has expanded its in-house Muze line with four new sofas, adding more affordable contemporary options for living spaces. Since Muze’s 2024 launch, the line has aimed to blend style with accessible pricing, and the newest additions continue that trend.

The standout pieces include the Tammi, priced at $1,199, which draws inspiration from organic forms and natural textures. At just over 2 meters long, the Tammi comfortably seats three, though the backrest does not run the full length, offering a relaxed, casual silhouette that can work in mid-sized living rooms.

For sofa lovers who prefer a more relaxed, lounge-ready feel, the Heather at $2,899 is a half-leather three-seater paired with a matching ottoman. This option emphasizes comfort with a touch of luxury, ideal for those who want a statement piece that still remains practical for daily use.

Two more options broaden the suite: the Sora, a two-seater at $1,499, and the Olwen, a $3,299 modular three-piece set. The Olwen features two armchairs that can be used independently or joined with a center table to form a longer arrangement, enabling flexible layout configurations for evolving living spaces.

Courts notes that selected discounts will be available on Muze products during October, encouraging shoppers to visit local stores or explore the collection online at courts.com.sg/muze.

Garmin launches the Fenix 8 MicroLED

In the realm of outdoor-ready wearables, Garmin has introduced the Fenix 8 MicroLED, a first-of-its-kind MicroLED smartwatch marketed toward outdoor enthusiasts. Priced at $2,649, the MicroLED edition claims to deliver superior readability in all weather conditions owing to its ultra-bright display and a wider color gamut than other Fenix 8 variants that used AMOLED technology.
The display relies on more than 400,000 micro-LEDs, offering an ultra-wide viewing angle and reportedly 15 percent more color fidelity compared with its AMOLED counterparts. The 51mm dial houses 32GB of memory to support robust smart features suited to adventures in varied environments.

Garmin emphasizes durability and outdoor performance, positioning the MicroLED version as a premium option for serious explorers who require clarity in bright sun, rain, or snow. The model combines the brand’s typical battery life, multisport tracking, and rugged design with a display technology designed to reduce glare and improve legibility under diverse lighting conditions.

Other notable tech from the region: Ecovacs Deebot X11 OmniCyclone

Singaporean smart home company Ecovacs has unveiled the Deebot X11 OmniCyclone, with pricing starting at $1,699. The vacuum uses PowerBoost technology to extend cleaning coverage up to 1,000 square meters in a single run. It is designed to navigate stairs up to 2.4 cm and handle multiple steps or obstacles up to 4 cm in height, making it suitable for multi-level homes.

The X11 OmniCyclone features a dual-brush system designed to minimize hair tangling, backed by a 1.6-liter dustbin that deposits debris into a hands-off cleaning station. The station also cleans the roller brush, enabling ongoing maintenance with minimal user intervention.

These developments reflect a broader push in home tech and design toward integrated, stylish, and convenient solutions that fit modern living spaces while keeping practicality at the fore.

Why this matters for design-conscious shoppers

As living spaces evolve, consumers increasingly seek furniture that adapts to different layouts and tech-enabled devices that enhance daily life. The Muze line’s modular and mixed-material options align with current design trends toward flexible arrangements. Meanwhile, the Garmin Fenix 8 MicroLED and Ecovacs Deebot X11 OmniCyclone illustrate a growing appetite for high-performance, technology-forward products that can withstand real-world use while delivering premium user experiences.

Shoppers can stay informed about October discounts on Muze products at Courts stores or online, and tech enthusiasts can explore Garmin’s latest wearable and Ecovacs’ cleaning innovations to upgrade both style and function at home.
