During this period, PRO 7 executed a total of 6,003 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the apprehension of precisely 6,995 suspects involved in drug-related activities. The operations resulted in the seizure of substantial narcotics, including:
- Shabu: 111,948.80 grams valued at approximately P761.2 million
- Dried Marijuana Leaves and Plants: Worth over P3.1 million
- Cocaine: 250 grams amounting to P1.3 million
- Ecstasy Pills: 60 pills valued at P102,000
Community Impact and Drug-Free Barangays
Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, the chief of PRO 7, emphasized the significance of these operations, highlighting that the consistent efforts have resulted in 1,600 barangays being declared drug-cleared since the beginning of the year. Moreover, 36 barangays have been verified as drug-free by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing.
“This progress is a testament to the steadfast commitment of law enforcement, local government units, and communities working together to make Central Visayas safer for all. We are steadily moving closer to our goal of a fully drug-cleared region,” Maranan stated, reinforcing the collaboration between various stakeholders in the fight against drugs.
