Matthew George Pearson, known affectionately as Georgie, passed away peacefully at home in Craigadoes, St Johnston, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Bella, father Willy, and sister Elma, he leaves behind a devoted wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and a wide circle of friends who will miss his warmth and gentle presence.

Family and Legacy

Georgie was the beloved husband of Irene and a proud father to Don and his wife Jackie, and Matthew and his wife Christina. He cherished his role as grandfather to Tori, Harry, Jacob, Rose, Alex, Andy, and Belle. He will be deeply missed by his sisters and brothers Adeline, William, Ida, Michael, Valerie, and Sidney, along with the wider family circle and many friends who knew him as a kind and steadfast presence in the community.

Service Details and Farewell

Georgie will reposing at his home, beginning this evening, Monday 13 October from 5:00 pm, and continuing tomorrow, Tuesday from 10:00 am, with the opportunity to pay respects again on the morning of the funeral. The funeral service will depart from his home on Wednesday 15 October at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm Service of Thanksgiving in St Columba’s Church, Craigadoes. A burial will follow at Toughboyne Parish Church graveyard, Carrigans.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be made to Craigadoes Church and the Irish Cancer Care Society, via any family member or through Terence McClintock Funeral Director. Georgie’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the support and kindness shown during this difficult time.
