Matthew George Pearson, affectionately known as Georgie, passed away peacefully at his home in Craigadoes, St Johnston, surrounded by his loving family. Georgie was predeceased by his mother Bella, father Willy, and sister Elma, but he leaves behind a strong legacy of family devotion, resilience, and community spirit.

Georgie’s wife Irene stands at the center of a close-knit family. He was a cherished father to Don and his wife Jackie, and to Matthew and his wife Christina. The family circle also includes seven beloved grandchildren—Tori, Harry, Jacob, Rose, Alex, Andy, and Belle—whose smiles and stories offered Georgie daily joy. He will be remembered for the steady love he showed to his siblings Adeline, William, Ida, Michael, Valerie, and Sidney, as well as to his wider family and many friends who considered him a beacon of kindness and steadiness.

Funeral Arrangements and Ways to Remember
Georgie will repose at his home from 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 13 October, and again from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, continuing into the morning of the funeral. The funeral service will depart Georgie’s home on Wednesday, 15 October at 1:45 p.m. for a Service of Thanksgiving at St Columba’s Church, Craigadoes, followed by burial at Toughboyne Parish Church graveyard, Carrigans. Family flowers are requested, with donations in lieu to Craigadoes Church and the Irish Cancer Care Society, care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.
